The Bent Leg Lift: Part 4 of “Four for the Core”

This is the last in our current series, “Four for the Core,” where we’ve been looking at the core muscle exercises the US military uses to keep their soldiers in top condition. We’ve had great response from people who have been adding these exercises to their current routine, or starting with these movements.

Remember, it’s not “move alot,” “move super-fast,” or “move more than you are able;” it’s…move RIGHT. I kept this exercise for last on purpose. It’s easy to want to focus on this one and neglect the others because this focuses on those front muscles that we care so much about. I want you to do the other movements first because they all work together, and this one isn’t nearly as effective without the others.

Also, it’s my conviction that exercise should be a normal part of your everyday activity, not something you do in a set-aside time and place or change clothes for. These movements can be done at the office, at home, or anywhere you go, as a part of your daily life.

So, enjoy the video, add this movement to your regular routine, and send me a note to let me know how it’s going. Our community on Facebook is growing day by day, and we’re all here to encourage each other to be our best and reach our health goals. Be a part of the discussion on Facebook. And share it with a friend. We all need a little nudge once in a while to keep us on track.
